Procurement Senior Executive

ACCOUNTABILITYCarry out purchasing function and responsible for coordinating the sourcing and purchase of direct materials and supporting material to meet NPI and mass production. RESPONSIBILITYParticipate in all activities related towards achieving the departments' objectives and resolve matters related to the procurement of all items within the related category managed by the buyer.Establish relationships with suppliers, evaluating and managing their performance.Source for new vendors and manage vendors in relation to competitive pricing, quality and services. Responsible to ensure price is finalised and up-dated on a timely basis in the system.Study, evaluate areas of opportunity for possible cost reduction.Co-ordinate cost reduction activity with relevant parties internally & externally.Prepare material budget and forecast as and when required by managementUpdate of WAVE on monthly basis and monitor achievement against target set.Ensure no delay in the execution of new models due to delay in specification/jig/software development & new parts approval.Conduct meeting with related depts when deemed necessary based on job/project requirement.Support and resolve delivery/payment/quality issues when deemed necessary under critical condition whereby when the issue is rolled out in JIRA - Level 2#LI-LK1REQUIREMENTSDegree holder in Social Science, Business Administration or any other related disciplines.5 years working experience in Purchasing Department in manufacturing environment.
